Its name is Haven. Made from upcycled perforated cardboard, this piece embodies the spirit of reuse and sustainability. The cardboard used in Haven was the initial test of working with this new medium, and rather than discarding it, Vanessa transformed it into an artwork, demonstrating her commitment to ecology.

The paint used in Haven is equally innovative, blended with unused coffee, which gives it a unique, textured hue. Additionally, the paint is composed of 50% pigments derived directly from the earth, reinforcing the piece’s ecological and natural approach.

The linen background, left in its natural state, brings a richness and organic touch, creating a perfect harmony with the cardboard and paint. The ensemble evokes a cocoon, a refuge, hence the name “Haven,” which conveys a sense of protection and tranquility.
