This original artwork was created during the release of the Barbie movie (2023) directed by Greta Gerwig. Vanessa had fun imagining what the artwork Barbie could have created, with a touch of Ken. The house in the film, inspired by the architecture of Palm Spring, was the source of creativity for this colorful work. The glitter applied to the outlines is a nod to Barbie's sparkling bed, as seen in the movie.
